GIRLS…As if you had to ask? But if you did, Beyonce is here to remind you with her new anthem “Who Run the World (Girls).” To be honest when I first heard this song on the radio*I wasn’t too excited, and wondered if this was a poor choice on Bey’s part. I legitimately thought we had another GaGa situation* on our hands, thankfully I was wrong. This song is hella-infectious, and I should of known that I would have it on repeat as it contains the lyrics “Boy you know you love it, how I’m smart enough to make ‘dem millions, strong enough to bare ‘dem children, then get back to business.” This is the phrase I’m going to whisper into my husband’s ear, whenever he questions my ambition. Bahahah, just kidding, he would never question it, but I’ll whisper it to him anyway, just for kicks.
Anyway, Beyonce debuted the music video for “Who Run the World” last night and it does not disappoint. All I’m going to say is that it is the definition of fierce, the clothes are to die for (there is a gold dress with gold heels that I want…I’ve got no place to wear it, but I’ll be content just putting it on to watch Conan) and the moves are worth learning…which means I definitely will. It will be “Single Ladies”* all over again.
Here’s the video, you’re welcome!
Radio-Yes I still listen to the radio, sometimes I’ll go for a drive just to listen in the car…jk, the price of gas is ridiculous, I’ll usually park somewhere and listen.
Gaga Situation- You know what I mean, her current album is a bit of a disappointment. Don’t get me wrong I love “Judas” but everything else just feels done before…by you know, Madonna. The current songs, atleast for me, don’t seem to have the same bite that “Just Dance,” “Love Game,” and “Paparazzi” have. Also, Lady, could you try something weird and give ago at dressing normally? Trust me the shock value of seeing you not covered in lace/meat/leather/feathers will blow people away. I’m not a hater, I just know you could be so much more, and that more may mean doing less.
Single Ladies- Once upon a time I may or may not have performed “Single Ladies” at a church talent show. Trust me, it was awesome. So no need to search for the video, just take my word for it.
